The Peters edition says 'freely arranged' by P. There is no evidence that Eccles had anything to do with the viola arrangement, though it is widely known in this form. Accordingly, this is tagged for violin, not viola. Also, it is not known whether the Mutopia re-arrangement back to violin is accurate compared to the original, since 'freely arranged' could include transposition to a lower key.
